I don't know, I'm kind of bored with it. I mean it's the same stuff. Skinny jeans, basic tees, plaid, graphic hoodie.

So the answer is: You dress typical for that style.. emo, scene... whatever.. let's not put labels.

Prom accesory, hair, and makeup help?

My senior prom is just 3 weeks away and I am trying to figure out what to do with my hair and makeup. I purchased a beautiful white and blue gown. My problem is I don't quite know how I should do my makeup and hair, and I don't even know what accessory's to use. The best way that I can describe my dress is floor length white taffeta, with a royal blue strip at the top, with matching blue spaghetti straps, on the gown itself is royal blue flowers starting as a thick cluster near the top and slowly getting thinner all the way down to the dress (the flowers are sewn on the dress and are not a pattern) the back is lace up with a matching blue string. Personally I have long blonde hair, blue eyes, and glasses. I'm asking for help because I am terrible at coordinating things like this. I always love long curly hair, it's very classy, but not over the top, or tacky. Pus the next day, it's really easy to throw into a pony, incase you don't have seven hours to untangle your hair.

I don't think you really need to accesorize a dress that's as beautiful as you described. It sounds like it's detailed enough, to not need any accessories. I would try larger stud earrings, and A pretty matching ring. Not too over the top. This season is about understated, pretty, girly jewlery. I woudn't spend much on the accesorises, try cheepies like at Claires or Ardenes! As long as they sparkly, who cares what they're made of.

If you have really curly hair, then i would leave it curly, and just tease and backcomb it, and tease the fringe, so that you have really big hair. Then add a pretty hair-band, and sprinkle some glitter or glitter hair-spray, and voila. It'll look awesome. Too be honest although Tinkerbell has her hair up, I always think of her as having long, big dramatic hair.

Put a bun in your hair, use hair spray, let peices hang down in front. They don't have to be straight.

Black mascara and eyeliner. Sorta make the eye liner go out at the tip of the eyes. use green shimmery eye shadown with a bronze blush. Next use darksih orangey redish lipstick or gloss.

Im 14. I have a round face like Miley Cyrus and i LOVE her makeup. I am white and im not afraid to try new things. I love the natural look, but myskin is VERY oiley and it wipes all my makeup off. I have hair down to my brastrap and my hair as long layers i part my hair to the right and i use a CHI flat iron. i usually only wear eye makeup but im going into high school and i want to look ';OLDER'; not hookish or anything. Im the principles daughter so i ';know'; better. hahaha i dont wear a lot of black and i dont wear skinny jeans. I know this is a lot of reading over the summer but if you have gotten this fr then please answer. Remember im 14 and i dont appreciate rude comments. Thank you :)

Okay, if you go onto youtube there is a lot of how-to on makeup, hair, ect. But, go to youtube.com/pursebuzz. Look through her videos until you find the tutorial of how to do the Miley Cyrus, 7 Things Music Video Make up Style...or something like that. Then, go to your local store where you buy your makeup. But some sunkiss, that's bronzer. Helps with Oily skin. REALLY does. Helped me. Pretty much plugged it up haha. It makes you look tanner too. Also buy multiple shades of green eye shadow. Experiment with putting multiple shades on. Green looks good on almost anyone, makes them look mysterious and sexy. Perfect for highschool! im in such a rut trying to figure out what career path to choose,

i love to do my hair,makeup, and do it to my mother and sister also, and i know i'd enjoy the cosmetology classes cause i'll learn how to do a much better job in hair and makeup, but the thing i worry on is actually getting a career in that field, i've been in salons and i seen how picky people can be about how they want their hair and oooh man i just HATE to think if i was to mess it up and do a bad job!..

i know someone might tell me ';well you'll get trained for all of that';

but still! even with training , i dont really like the idea of being in a salon and doing strangers' hair ... i would rather just apply my hair and makeup techniques to family and friends....

so maybe going to cosmetology isnt such a great idea? .. i dont know!!!

and then, i also Love animals.... so theres THat career path of a vet or something...

uuuggghh, its sooo hard to figure what to do here!..

i don't think i saw the images that u wanted ppl to see , but i'm just going with what i know about her look and that main pic. a curling iron that is 1 1/2'; will probably create nice lose curls, then you can shake them out.

as for eye makeup, it's usually a very clean lined top lashes. u can do that with a liquid liner. for the smudges u're talking about, u can dip a angled eyeshadow brush into some shadow and smudge the corners.

finish off with a brown mascara.

I would advise that you wear the white dress. It's really nice and would look really good with the sort of loose curls there are in the picture. If you didn't want to look like you were at a wedding, you could try jazzing it up with a wide red silk belt.

I like the white one. Put a silk ribbon (as a belt) so you have a bit of color in there. Checkout David's Bridal, they sell silk sash and belts for less than $20

For your hair, checkout wigs.com (they have that Jessica Simpson curly hairpiece/clip extension). I have a clip-on hair piece that I bought at the mall for about $50, which I love wearing on special occasions.

For your make-up: hurry up and make an appointment with ';Stila'; at your local department store, they won't make you look made up just pretty!

get clothes from thrift stores, there are the really fashionable emo peopel, then there are the care-free emo people who wear baggy rolled up sleeve t-shirts, but they look just as good.

as for hair, consider getting a really strong hairspray, and depending on your hair length, you can back comb it (look up on google how to back comb) to make it poof out.

eyeliner, depending on the shape of your eyes, you might want to expiriment with it.

the first picture (its uber dodgy i know) is of my natural hair; full-bodied, but very dry ends.

the second picture is of my hair straightened. it still looks dry though. can you tell i curled my lashes? :P

1. To make your hair shinier use CHI Silk Infusion which can be found at any beauty supply store for about $13.00 a bottle. To make your hair healthier use shampoos that say they are for dry or damaged hair, preferably salon approved products (even if they are a bit more expensive).

2. Try using a haircut that deals with a lot of layers which makes your hair look like it still has body but would make it look less poofy and overwhelming to your face.

I may be a guy but I did a study on height so I know what clothes suit a shorter person.

With the dress, a short one can make your legs look longer if it comes to just below your knees, but if it comes too low it makes your legs look shorter. A long dress can make your whole body look longer, and if you plan on wearing pretty high heels they won't be as obvious under it.

Your hairdo is great for a shorter person because it shows your neck and makes you look longer in the body. Makeup... not my thing lol.

as for dress colors...maybe you could look into blue, yellow (light or goldish) or even green. Purple would also be a good choice for you.

your hair i dont know if you could try soft curls at the very ends since your hair is so short (but very pretty) or you could like scrunch it and make it wavy...unless you plan on growing out your hair before prom... i think the style is up to you...a poofy kind of prom dress or a classic simple floorlength dress....make-up i think depends on the color dress you wear....but no matter what just have fun at your prom im sure it will be a night to remember! =)

ok lets start with the basics I have vary oily skin so I have a lot of breakouts so if you have any good skin products it will riley help(I have already try proactive and it dint work)as to makeup I鈥檓 kind of punk gothic type but you can put up any makeup that you can come up with I鈥檓 totally open what I mostly wear is a vary pale foundation because I have vary fair skin so all the botchy redness shows (unfortunately) for my eye makeup I wear black eyeliner because I have hazel eyes and I hate wearing brown eye liner because it makes the brown in my eyes more noticeable and not the green plus I like how the black looks so any other colors you think would look good on hazel eyes would be great but I do wear brown eye shadow I kind of scared to wear riley bright colors but if you find something that will work thanks for lips I wear cherry chap stick it puts a red tint on my lips and it taste good but I riley want something pretty and not stand out to much finely my hair I mostly just straiten it because my hair is naturally strait and I don鈥檛 know what else to do with it so if you can find a way to make it better that would be great you also mitt want to know in going to die my under hair like a crimson red so the style has to work for that thank you so much for all you help and I riley hope you can find something different for me (p.s. plezz don鈥檛 ask why I want to change my style so suddenly I have had a lot of people ask me and its kind of personal and I don鈥檛 want to share it)I need hair and makeup tips?

I also have oily skin and what really helps is a oatmeal mask. It sounds weird but it's awesome! All you do is boil 1/2 cup of water with 1/3 cup of quick oats until it's cooked and then put about 2 teaspoons of honey in it while it cools. I usually leave it on for about 15 min and it really help with the oil and makes your skin very smooth. Hope this helps! :)

Anyways:

hair: just bring in a few pics of the hair you want and the layers should be shorter on top and gradually get longer towards the bottom. The ends need to be thinned out, and the layers have to be long sharp and choppy. And you can ask them to cut side bangs if you don't already have them. ( try parting you hair on the way side right where your eyebrow ends ) oh and make sure you use a straightening iron

eyes:

Lots and lots of volumizing/thickening mascara ( Maybelline defin-a-lash volume, loreal Voulminous mascara )

layer the mascara on both top and bottom, and if you want it really really thick wait for each layer to dry before you add another layer ( youtube ';how to do scene makeup)

or you can use fake eyelashes but i think their a little too fussy ( try youtube: how to do scene makeup)

and to open your eyes more try white eyeliner on your water line ( i adore Make up for ever aqua eyes in white 14L)

shadow:

black or dark gray and try uisng it wet for more intensity, darker towrds the lash line and lighter towards your crease ( MAC eyeshadow in Carbon ( i love it!!! lol) and just kind of smoke it out.

lips:

dot foundation or concealer on lips and then layer a milky pink gloss over lips ( NARS lip laquer in Chelsea girls, MAC pushglass in C-thru)I want hair and makeup like brookelle bones?! any help:D?

Hi...it's a very blurry pic but i would say layer your hair...don't chop the length off but lose a couple of inches (it will still be long) this will give your hair a style and add some body..and again hard to see off your pic but perhaps define your eyebrows a little more. X
you'll have no haor left if you keep straitening it every day :-O its really isnt good for it at all even if you are using a hair protector. Some people with naturally straight hair who's curls only stay in for maximum 1 hour envy you girls!! ou should use big fat rollers to relax your ';frizz'; into nice bouncy sexy curls and use a specialist frizz control moose and just lightly scrunch. As for make up, i can't tell if you're wearing mascara but you can get that ';lash blast'; stuff.

But the best advice it to just go with the more natural look. a little bit of eyeshadow to go with whatever you're wearing maybe some blush and you're set. :) --oh and don't forget the lipgloss.

First let me just say that all of these photos are not how Miley looks in real life. She has professionals doing her hair and makeup. And, a computer has perfected her skin and body making her look flawless.

But to achieve makeup like Miley's, you should wear a liquid or mineral foundation, bronzer and/or blush, eyeliner, mascara, and lipgloss.

To get hair like her's, try using a thick curling barrel curling iron to curl the ends of your hair. This will add a touch of wave and volume to your hair.Miley cyrus hair and makeup! HELP?
for the hair-

You can use a thick curling iron and instead of clamping you hair on it your gonna wrap a piece of hair (no more than 1 inch) on the curling iron to make a wave.

Do this to your entire hair.

Then after, use mouse or hair wax to keep you hair in place.

for the make up-

you'll need:

eyeliner

mascara

very light pink blush

and very light pink lipstick (you don't have to use this, you can use lipgloss)

Put eyeliner on your top lid and then put about half way at your waterline.

curl your lashes then add your mascara (top and bottom lashes)

apply your blush and then the lipstick or you can keep your cheeks and lips bare.

i would definitely go for the princess look. do big fat curls with a 3/4 barrel iron. then comb through them with a wide tooth comb to loosen them. then tease the back of your hair and secure your hair in a little ponytail. spray with hairspray and apply some kind of shine spray. you should look something like this:

i would do a smokey eye with a purple accent to match the dress.

what you'll need:

how to:

apply the eyeliner thickest around the outer corners of your eyes and thinnest at the inner corners. smudge the outer corners. smudge the purple eyeshadow along your upper lash line. highlight with the silver eyeshadow in the inner corners of your eyes and on your brow arch. apply mascara on top and bottom lashes.

(WAY UP HIGH) Keep the bangs you want out or totally off of your face, it's up to you.....Than take piece by piece of your pony tail and curl it up like there is a roller on each piece and bobby pin it once it's an actual rolled curl.. keep doing this untill your pony tail is all gone but make sure you atleast do two layers like a wedding cake.. i loooovvveee the dress. its so dramatic. keep the rest simple so the outfit isnt too loud. go with a shimmery light purple (for the fairy tale effect) and it will go beautifully with some simple dangling diamond earings and a silver teardrop necklace... of course do a light face poweder... maybe to make ur skin a little more pale to help the dress stand out... but nothing strong.

if its jewlery, make sure its not TOO showy. the dress is the centre point.

and try a light smokey gray cream shadow. a light pretty smooth gray would go great with that dress. dark gray liquid eyeliner on top [its almost black and won't blend with the gray] (almay from the drugstore) and a faintttt light brown on the bottom with a the tiniest bit of black along the lashes. one layer of brown mascara on the bottom. do not make this noticable. with a hint of rosy pink blush [if you're pale] but a more red color if you're tan. or if you're black use a cream blush. make sure you have flawless face makeup. i'd recommend covergirl trublend with physicians formula pressed powder over it. get highlighter [try physicians formula color pallette also at a drugstore] and brush it lightly along the cheek bones. thats the secret of movie stars skin who have that ';glowing'; look. i like to put a hint of physicians formula pearls of perfection [the best friggin bronzer i've ever used] along my forhead [to minimize it's BIGNESS, but you can lightly put darker makeup on somethign you dont want to stand out.. such as a nose or forehead]. i would get my hair done at a salon if i were you. they usually know what looks good on you. and your makeup too, just tell them that and see if they agree ;] . If you have a small forhead then you can wear an up do. lol. :[ i hate my big forehead. you can wear it without bangs or with. for small foreheads i like the ';sharkie'; look.. the puff on the top of the head with whatever in back of it. like a ponytail, or in your case an updo with lots of curls. if you have a medium or big forehead i suggest leaving your bangs down. but if its huge like mine.. wear your hair down, wavy and with bangs. good luck

First of all, your friends sound a bit blunt.

Anyway, the main way to up your hotness quickly is mascara. If you're going to leave the house with one product on, make it mascara. Make it black, and be sure to curl your eyelashes first.

Foundation isnt mandatory if you already have beautiful skin, and powder works best on moisturised skin.

Wear makeup for yourself, not for your friends.

i cant see the picture but do natural and if you want to go bold occasionally but light on the inner corner and darker colors on the outer vorner and blend in the middle, and for hair side bangs and straighten it or just put it in a ponytail.

I have blue eyes and not pale but not very tan skin. As for makeup I usually just use mascara, because I want to have a more natural look. But any brands of makeup, any other products, other than mascara I should use, etc. would be helpful. (Don't want to spend a lot of money on makeup.)

As for hair, I have natually dirty-blonde hair. I do not want to get hilights because it looks like I naturally have them. Right now my hair nearly reaches my shoulder. Should I cut it short or grow it long? I've never grown my hair out but I would be willing to try it. I also have side bangs, but they're not side swept... I don't really like them. Haha. i have natural dirty-blonde hair and blue eyes too. i think you should grow your hair out. that's what i am doing. also, since you straighten your hair a lot, you should use some protecting spray. i use the pantene pro-v damage defender spray. it works great. also, after if you just want a wave, not a curl, use a wide-barrel curling iron and then shake it out. (picture 1) and for the bangs, i think you should try side swept bangs. that's what i have. and its fun to whip to the side like those skater boys. lol. if you have an uneven skin tone like i do, use some neutrogena oil free makeup. its a liquid foundation that makes a great complexion. (picture 2) for the eyes, make sure you use dark brown mascara because it looks more natural for our hair color. (picture 3) you could also add some brown eye liner for your bottom lid. (picture 4) also, for the lips, i usually just use a clear lip gloss. it looks natural but adds a little shine. (picture 5)

I use eyeliner, too, for a smokier, beautiful look. Also, I'd use gold eye shadow with green outer parts. Blush isn't mandatory, but a lipstick or gloss that is nearly your color, just a little bolder, works miracles, and guys actually sometimes prefer lip gloss. Grow it long, definitely. You can do more with it. Straighten it and get layers for a more edgy, defined look.
i would grow it long, long looks better on most people, not all, but since we cant see your face i would say long :)

makeup : get your eyebrows done and wear just a little concealer and powder, and eye makeup: eyeliner and mascara.

dont wear alot and try not to wear very much your first day :D

There's someone I need to impress, and I need makeup ideas! I have pretty vivid(natural) red hair and blue eyes, and VERY pale skin, with light freckles. I also have some fading discoloration left over from acne that I'd like to cover up somehow.. But yeah, anything you think would look nice is hugely appreciated!

I'd say that whoever it is, they wouldn't want you looking cakey.

So either go for a smokey or natural look. Don't try vibrant colors, which don't sound very formal for your case, anyhow.

Why don't you go for glowy natural look?

Use a rosy-colored blush, which should go well with your skin tone.

And if you are going to use eyeshadow, go for a mono-color look. Use a soft taupey brown color with a cream/beige color!

As for the scars, you definitely should use concealer.

Just use a sheer mineral veil, for foundation, which is the lightest coverage.

As a finishing touch, use a very neutral color, nude pink gloss.

I think pretty much any kind of make-up works with black hair. Just be sure to use black mascara and eyeliner. I think it looks silly when someone uses brown mascara and has black hair. Other colors of eyeliner are okay but blend them in with your eye shadow.

I would say get your hair done by someone. I think it would look good half up and curled! It's very hard to do anything fancy with your hair when you have thin hair, IMO. Or you could try curling it. The dress is gorgeous! You don't need to do anything complicated for your makeup or hair, I think the dress is enough of a statement in itself. Maybe just a dark brown liquid eyeliner with dark brown shimmery powder below the crease, medium brown in the crease, and a champagne-y color below the brow bone. Kind of a less dramatic smoky eye. Maybe a light pink glossy lip and peach blush! Keep it simple, you'll look beautiful!

OK, first, pull your hair back into a french twist, it is simple, and easy to do and looks very professional, as well as stylish. Next, wear mascara and put on a little blush or bronzer if you have it. I would wear some light lipgloss as well, you just want to look well ';put together';. Navy is the best color to wear when you are on an interview, it is neutral, not too flashy, but not too plain either. Also, with the interview questions, make sure you know the answer to , ';where do you see yourself in 5 years';, they always ask that, and you need to prepare a genuine, honest, yet responsible answer. Umm.i think you should go for the sunkissed look using bronser not to heavy foundation and have smokey eyes,but go easy on the maskara.and also how long is your hair? if its long then maybe curles pinned to the side always looks nice for special occasions.

So I have my appointment at a fancy (for me) salon to have a style and color. I am a newbie, but old, near 50. Should I wear my hair like I usually do it so they can see how I look, or just casual. I am not wanting a drastic new style, but just a fresher look and with the coloring......should I wear my normal light make-up or go without. I was told that they will suggest colors according to your skin color. I hope these questions don't seem too silly, but any helpful answers would be appreciated. Wear your hair as you usually wear it so they can assess which way it falls, or sits (they can cut hair any way you want it to be cut but at the end of the day, the hair has to be capable of sitting a particular way and your stylist needs to see if it will be capable of doing so).

Also, wear the kind of clothes you wear every day (don't dress up in something that isn't normally you), and try not to wear something with a high collar that might get in the way of scissors.

Also wear the makeup you normally wear, not the makeup that they would suggest.

The hairstyle has to suit you, your style, your kind of clothing and your personality, and if you show them your personality, usually they will be honest in letting you know whether the style of you've selected will fit in with the look you already have.

If you're set on having the look you want, they will do it anyway, but it seems to me your questions are based around making sure you have yourself prepared so the end result is perfect for you.

i know i know-find something that you like not what everyone else likes.

im 13,and have red/blonde hair.im really pale-i never tan.my eyes are hazel

i have side bangs with sholder length layered hair.

i dont want to dye my hair tho-mainly because my mom wont let me :P

i want to get my hair permenantly straightened but i heard when it grows back out the roots get very frizzy.

Def. don't get your hair permanently straightened... you may think it's a great idea now, but you'll come to regret it. Just see if your mom will buy you some new hair products. Like a good straightener and blow dryer. I have frizzy hard to deal with hair, and I bought a salon quality straightener and it works perfect.

Also about the make-up... you never want to put on to much. But if you go to walmart, they have this eye shadow ( i forget who makes it ) that is for people with certain color eyes.... and eyeliner never hurt anyone.... it takes a while to get it right. Every try a make-up consultant at one of the major department stores? I love Clinique. But I have been using their products for about 15 years. Also, I use a flat iron for hair straightening. Have you tried a flat iron%26gt; It's not permanent, but fast and easy.

For your hair tie a small VERY small portion of it up and curl it. Then take whats left and take about a quarter and put it in front of your shoulder on both sides. Curl the part that is in front. For your makeup use either dark colors or light both would look nice. If your going with light use pastels, pink, lilac, sky blue. If you go with dark go with dark blue and black and dark green. im going to a track meet tomorrow, and im going to see my boyfriend for the first time in 3 months.

i dont know how to do my hair! or makeup! something pretty, but wont get runny when i run, and something for my hair that wont get in my face, but still cute and flirty. HELP!Ah! hair and makeup help! PLEASE!?
I'd say pull the front part of your crown hair back (about 1 inch on both sides of your part) and put them in bobby pins so that it poofs up a little. Then just put your hair in a pony tail in the middle and sort of high in between the crown and nape of your neck.

If you're hair isn't wavy, put it in braids the night before so it has a little body.

As for makeup, go with a little waterproof eyeliner and bronzer in your creases and lightly brushed on your eyelids. You're still athletic, but a little cute. If your eyelashes are semi-dark, use a clear mascara so it doesnt look overdone. The best thing is to make the guy think it's all natural.

Don't use foundation because if you sweat your skin will look uneven. Plus, if you're running, you won't need excess color!Ah! hair and makeup help! PLEASE!?

Make-up: You'll need eyeliner, eyeshadow, blush, some sort of powder for your face, and it helps if you get eyeshadow primer but if you don't want to sped the cash on it just use Vaseline, and whatever else you use on your face.

A general rule of thumb is to either emphasize the eyes or the lips. So, if you find a shade of lipstick similar to the dress, go easy on the eye makeup. If you do a more natural lip, then you can really play up your eyes.

The eyeshadow all depends upon your skin tone and eye color. A deep, natural color with maybe a little silver or gold glitter on the lid would be pretty. If you know how to do a smokey eye, that is nice for evening. Go on YouTube and you can find ';How-To'; videos.

Also, don't overdo it on jewelry. Just some sparkly earrings would be nice, but a necklace would probably make a short dress look to top-heavy.

Something soft for your hair. Maybe whispy?

You have beautiful hair, I suggest that you go for a layered look to make your hair fuller. I can see you in one of those cute angle cuts. A trendy type, easy to care for style. Make up, you really don't need it, you have beautiful skin. But if you want to wear make up, go for a natural look. A little eyeliner, blush only on the apples of your cheeks. Try getting ideas from magazines like Glamour. Experiment a bit. Go to a department store make up counter like Clinique ask for help and get an appointment made to make over. erm i mean i am always changing my look the bst thing i find is to take my hair down in darkness just a tad, it brings out my skin tone, you would look nice with a deeper brown and maybe more of a side fringe, quite a heavy one.

well make up you seem to have nice skin so i wouldnt cover it with yoo much, maybe add some depth to your eyes, perfect liquid eyeliner, it may seem hard at first but with practise it will make your eyes big and bold dont go to crazy with the flicks we dont want u looking like boomin cleopatra.

Just add a bit of bronze to your cheeks and a light pink gloss to your lips.

i'm going to a concert on wednesday and i have no idea how to do my hair, makeup, or anything. i usually know exactly what i'm going to wear and everything, but this time i'm also meeting up with my future boyfriend there, so i need to look extra stunning

The worst thing I see people do when they go to events (especially concerts!) is that they get too made up, or do something that looks crazy. It doesn't look good, it actually makes people think that you're a huge groupie (not a good term!) which can be alarming. I would highly suggest looking exactly like you do in that picture, because you look very pretty! You don't want to be wearing a whole lot of makeup, and you also don't want your hair to be so done that you have to take away from having a good time to keep it looking good. Guys tend to like girls the best when they aren't wearing makeup that can be seen, and when they aren't overly dressed up like they're trying to impress someone. anyways...really, what concert are you going to? bc i think if its the kind of concert where you're going to be jumping around in a crowd, it doesn't really matter what you wear. just as long as you're comfortable.

however, i do have one small piece of advice: don't wear any super cute shoes. bc if you're in a crowd, they will get messed up.
for your eyes, you should wear some bright eyeshadow, but make sure it won't come off. and black eyeliner, on the inside rims, so it's not too much.

your hair should be straight, or in a ponytail if you'll be jumping.

and for your clothes, either a tee shirt and skinny jeans, or a tee shirt and shorts, or a tank and shorts.

I am going to a bonfire tonight with my boyfriend of 9 months just to chill with a couple people. I am confident and happy with my relationship but i still like to look nice for him. Its going to be around 35-40 degrees.

Outfit: chocolate uggs, skinny jeans, black peacoat and a red, black and white plaid scarf.

Suggestions for my hair and makeup would be greatly appreciated.

take the top layer of your hair and put it into a little half-pony. curl the hair that is in the pony and also all your other hair. that would be flirty, and super cute. also, i would say put lots of mascara on, but not so it clumps. putting a lot of mascara will draw attention to your eyes, and make you have that kind-of sexy ';sleepy'; look. a few coats sheer pink lipgloss would look really good too. and because it will be dark, go for more of a darker blush. hope it goes well:)
Being French I know only I can truly help you! I suggest putting on some foundation and the deepest red you can find for your lips! Put on some eyeliner and for eyeshadow put dark green. For your hair make it as straight as possible! get a fringe, colour it black.

Ok.. I find hanging my head upside down and then spraying it with hairspray works well.. then you flip up the right way and can clip it in place in a messy bun type style.. or even clip it to the side so its big on top and then kinda messy pony tail to the side.. it looks great. but only if your a fan of big hair..

As for makeup.. Normally dark colours bring out my eyes.. but if you have dark eyes opt for lighter shades.. For example... choose 3 matching colours in a cool rather than warm shades (black, grey and light silver or white). Apply medium shade to the eyelid. Then get a darker colour such as black and brush across the crease and slightly raise in outter corners.. use the lightest colour from your eyebrow downwards blending in with the black and waaaa laaa. apply mascara andeyeliner and done.

T-shirt doesnt really matter.. however pattern ones will draw away from your eyes and hair if you want to feature them. Plain black is always nice or even red i think would look nice with your hair. Yellow is also very bright and cheery with some dark jeans??

Hey there. I need some advice. Im a junior and this is the first year ive gone to homecoming. lame i know. So i wanted to know how i should do my hair. i would go to your hairstylist and tell her that you want your sides up, and you want your crown brought up for a little bit of height, like audrina on The Hills...i'm sure you know what i'm talking about... and then super loose curls for the rest of it.

keep your makeup simple... do NOT use bronzer because it will make your pictures look like you have greasy skin. trust me on this one..lol

i think that both your hair and makeup will have to depend on the type of dress you will be wearing.maybe yo can consider getting a simple yet elegant updo. and for makeup it will be better if it compliments your dress. a very neutral smoky eye will look good with everything. don't forget false eyelashes if you wanna make your eyes pop.hope this helps! good luck for your homecoming

It's OK I haven't gone to homecoming (I'm homeschooled) but o well. I know a thing or two about make-up. I have really fair skin too. What I would do is put on some peachy colored blush, and some brown eyeliner, and light pink eye shadow, and lots of mascara. You don't want to over do it though, because then it will look clumpy. Now for your hair, I don't know what your face shape is but I think if you shampoo it and use nice conditioner, just leave it down. Then you wouldn't look too formal.Hope this helps! :p

My boyfriend and I are celebrating our 2 year anniversay and I need hair help! I'm not really proficient with styling hair. Come to think of it, the only thing I know how to do with my hair is straighten it. I've tried to curl it and it never works out. I don't need anything super fancy but just something different that looks nice.

I'm 21, so I'm looking for something in-style.

Also, if anyone has any makeup tips, those would be appreciated as well. I'm very pale so I find it hard to find makeup that works for me.

You already have a lot to work with. Don't know the time frame you're working with ... but for the hair ... go for a good cut (couple of inches). Fringie bangs that can be swept over to the side and soft layers around your face. If you're time doesn't allow for a cut, go for an easy up-do. Use a curling iron to add some curl to the bottom. Then pull back to a pony tail, twirl the tail and pin to the back of your head with a cute clip. Let some hair hang around your face by pulling some strands out after you've pulled it up. Real easy to do.

For make up, go for a light sheer foundation to even out skin tone. Then apply a pinkish blush to the apples of your cheeks. Make sure it blended well so you don't have ';clown'; spots. Line your eyes with brown liner-pencil and smudge it to soften the look. To finish use a sheer cherry red tint (benefit is good) with a nice gloss to add sheen.

If you're going more dressy, try a deep greenish shadow, just on the lids. Blend it in with you finger so it's just a hint of color. Try to keep it darker at the outer corners of your eyes. And you can try liquid liner which can be more dramatic but it all depends on your plans.

For the face --%26gt; Well you do have very light skin, so I'd suggest either spray tanning (only because I'm guessing bed tanning probably doesn't do much for you unless you keep up with it for a while), or buying a good bronzer (MAC has the best in my opinion). **With spray tanning though, make sure you tan on the lowest level they have so It's not such a dramatic change** As for the makeup, I suggest going light on that if you're going to focus on being tanner. Definetely mascara to make your eyes pop...make sure to curl the lashes too...and very light brown eyeliner on the top lashes on the eyelid only.

For the hair --%26gt; Not sure if you are looking to cut it or not, but if you are willing to, I always give my 29-25 year old clients some long bangs...just to have a layer in there. It will make your hair look fuller. Also, just by parting your hair to a different side alone can make you look a little different (in a good way of course!) and it will definetely give you a new look without it looking like you had a huge makeover.

You might want to stand but don't put on too much make-up, it's possible to stand out with natural make-up (what I'm probably trying to say is wear natural make-up but make it look sifferent if it's possible). At my NRA (not prom) I thought I was too dressed up but so was everyone else. If you keep you hair down then make big curls or something, straight hair can be boring, I have straight her and curls make me look kinda different. You'll look nice with your hair up as well though, you can curl it that way too.

If your going for a statement look, I'd say go against what you usually do for hair. So if you usually have it straight/straightened, I'd probably say wave it. I wouldn't curl it though, but that's just my personal opinion - but I think either waves or straight would look nice on you.

If anything, you could put it up with clips or something, but have it in a way that you could take it down easily when you want to dance, so you can walk in with it up and sophisticated, and then take it down and still have the long, sultry thing going on.

I'd say you should go mainly natural for your makeup, but do something big with your eyes maybe? Like you could find a purple metallic eyeliner/eyeshadow and decorate your eyes quite dramatically with it. Or maybe, use regular black eyeliner on the bits closest to your eyes and then use metallic on your lids and the bit below your eye, and sweep it across a bit. Just make a statement.

I'd definitely say to leave the rest of your face simple though, I don't think you'd want to put on much colour lipstick-wise as it would make you look overdone. Maybe a really subtle, natural pink colour - or just a nude. I don't know much about blush - being a guy - but depending on the colour of your dress (i.e - pinky purple or bluey purple) you should try using one with either a warm tone (for pinky purple) or a colder tone for bluey.

Oh, and maybe consider some of that hairspray witht the glitter in it for your hair? If you used purple metalic stuff on yoru eyes you could maybe use a little silvery eyeshadow round there as well, then add a little glitter to one side - I've seen celebs do it, not sure how though sorry - and sparkle your hair up a bit.

if the dress is simple you should definatly make an extra effort with the make-up. Otherwise it will just look abit TOO understated.

However, if the dress is very fancy,complicated, full of design...then perhaps a more simplistic approach to the makke-up should be done :)

dramatic eyes is a killer and will get you all the positive attention on the dance floor ;)

i will be graduating from 8th grade in june. i was thinking of getting kate hudson waves for the evening. i have naturally straight hair made wavier with layers, side bangs, and i think my hair person did tunneling with my hair. so i dont know if curls would look good with my hairstyle. i also didnt no wat 2 do 4 makeup (morning and night can be separate.) 4 morning i need somethin i can do myself, and nite is anything. i have olive skin, brown eyes, and very little acne. any tips? I am going on vacation at the end of september. If i can't figure out how to style my long hair by the time i go, i'm chopping it off, and that may make me sad because i don't want to give up on it. but i cannot style my long hair. it's so hard to manage, easily tangled, very thin and fine (it's like claire danes hair to a T!';). so i really need to know, because i'll be swimming in the ocean and going straight to doing activities, what are good hair styles i can do while my hair is wet? and what is some good waterproof eyeliner (AND CONCEALER) that will work for me. and waterproof mascara. and my face does breakout easily, so i need a very good concealer that will not cause breakouts!Good hair and makeup ideas for vacation on the beach!?

I don't care how they want to wear their hair, if they want to do it themselves, where they want to get it done, etc, as long as they don't come to the wedding looking disshelved, I'm fine with whatever they choose to do. Same for makeup and nails. I trust that everyone of them will look tasteful that day.

Etiquette wise, should I pay for their hair, makeup, and nails? If not, should I still have a hairdresser come to the wedding if they want to have their hair professionally done? I think that you should give them the option but at my wedding all of us girls got ready together and it was a blast. It also helped me from being SO stressed out. It is fun getting ready together. Let your bridesmaids know that they can have there hair done however they want but would they come and get ready with you. I am getting married in May, and asked all of my girls if they wanted to do it together or individually. Surprisingly everyone wanted to go as a group. :) I found a salon/day spa that would be available for everyone do get done around the same time. That is a pro versus having one person come to your home to do all of your girls. (One person would get done earlier than all the others).

Anyways, I told all my girls the costs, and they are all okay with paying for themselves. Even if your parents are paying for your wedding, I'm sure you have enough expenses of your own, so you aren't expected to pay for them.
I've known bridesmaids who were forced/pressured into paying for it when they'd rather do it themselves. You can probably insist they get their hair done professionally but let them choose the professional... in that case they would probably pay but expect some to do it themselves.

If your girls don't mind paying, you can offer to hire someone to come out or book everyone at the same place.

I plan on asking my girls to pay for their own and have someone come out to the house to do it...but I mean I will ASK them if that is ok (mentioning the price). If they think it costs too much, I'll pay for half or all of it... I really want everyone to look awesome in the pictures.

However, I feel I have a right to be a little pushy since I'm letting them pick their own little black dresses instead of forcing them into some ugly thing they'll never wear again!
I'm really interested in hearing the rest of the responses on this one - I am kind of confused as to what to do with my wedding coming up too.

In my brother's wedding, I paid for my nails but did not pay for my hair - but yet, the woman who did our hair was working in the bride's mother's old shop (which was in their house) so I'm thinking it was done as a favor type thing.

I have appointments for my BM's and am letting them do what they want with hair, etc. I also paid for their dresses because that became a big issue for some reason (I'd rather not remember that whole ordeal).

You are responsible for your attendants grooming expenses only if you insist that it be done in some particular way, a way that involves extra expenses. If you are OK with attendants doing their own hair and nails then it is THEIR responsibility to pay if they make the decision to have them professionally done. The rule of thumb is that if you want them to have a specific hairstyle, makeup, or pedicure, then you pay for it. Otherwise, they pay for whatever they want to do to make themselves feel pretty.
Maybe all the bridesmades should pay for it themselves!! When I was a bridesmade I had to pay for it. Well of course to make sure they all have at least close to the same hair style and the same dress colour or type!

umm u look pretty young like maybe 10. But if u really want to wear makeup i would suggest some blush, mascara, some white glittery eyeshadow and some light pink lipgloss. And for ur hair definetly down.

You have nice facial features and when you are a little bit older you can really play around with makeup to enchance those features and make them stand out even more than they already do :) but for now you can... Apply a neutral colored matte eyeshadow all over your lid and a bit darker shade on the crease, then a highlighting color (example: light shimmerry white/beige/cream color) on your brown bone and bottom inner section of the eye then BLEND, BLEND, BLEND :). Then put a VERY thin eyeliner line on the top, to make it look very pretty and natural keep it very very close to the lash line. Then curl your lashes and apply a couple coats of a thickening and lengthening mascara. Apply peachy blush on the apples of your cheeks and a translucent loose powder on your T-zone if you need it. Your eyebrows are very pretty but you need to fill them in a tiny bit with a soft color that matches your eyebrow color, it will make all the diffrence :]. Apply a soft colored lipgloss..or just chapstick on your lips. :) Good luck!

Curl your hair! Instead of curling it with a curling iron, use a straightening flat iron. Works better for your kind of hair.

Honestly, I think that you are much nicer looking than any of those horrible fake girls.

You don't need foundation/concealer cause your skin looks really nice. I would suggest maybe some mascara, light eyeliner, and a little eyeshadow in a neutral but shimmery shade like terra cotta, moss green, or slate gray. Try an eybrow pencil if your ';thin'; eyebrows bug you. Don't go too dark on the eyebrows though, use dark brown not black. And a nude/coral lip color would really brighten you up.

well, if you haven't worn much make up before, try a little concealor and foundation to cover any yuckky parts and a bit of mascara if you have the guts =] its scary at first but maybe get some help from a friend. some lip gloss too. also in terms of a hair cut, get it shaped around your face and maybe some highlights? but definately talk to your hairdresser.

BTW dnt be so insecure. i have ';full thighs'; and my fave thing to wear is a semi mini skirt =P
You should try experimenting with makeup. Try liquid eyeliner on your top lids and some mascara. Then try straightening your hair. For clothes jeans and a cute t shirt always work. Just find a good fitting pair of jeans. You could also try layering a tank top under a plain jacket. Hope this helps :)

This photo is a very good example because the eyeliner is not too thick, and the fact that it is thicker on the top eyelid than the buttom will give your eyes a very beautiful shape (because if you do it thick on top and bottom it will actually make your eyes look smaller). You might need some practice with it though, took me a while to master the liquid eyeliner hehe

Semi-formal is like a prom, but not as fancy. My dress is a short black halter with a low back and goes down to my knees. There is a hot pink satin part that goes around my ribs and ties at the back. The halter bit is black all the way up, but the material that gets tied is the same hot pink satin one. The theme is midnight magic, and I was thinking of an updo and glittery make up, but I'm not sure.

Hot pink eye shadow [full on] over your eyeball part of the eyelid, then a soft glitter [maybe pearl colour?] above and over it. Rhinestones at the outside corners of your eyes for a dramatic look?

Normal blush, foundation, and a nice pinky pearl meets 50/50 pink lipstick. Clear gloss over to finnish.

For hair [assuming its not alrdy figured out] maybe a french twist or a nice informal big bun. [you know those cool messy ones? With rhinestone clip/pins in it!]

Go for deep green eyeshadow (especially if your hair is dark) as purple and green go well together =) If you're really pale or blonde you may wanna choose a paler green. What i did for my school leavers ball was book an appointment for hairdresser. for about 2-3 hours before you want to leave for prom (and wear a top with buttons down the front so you dont ruin your hair when getting changed) Look up pictures in magazines and websites for the hairdo you really like and take it with you to the hairdresser.

As for the make-up part, i'm useless, sorry, try and find out if a friend of a friend or family member is cosmetically skilled and get them to do it. otherwise, i'd go with the classic liquid eyeliner with the little flick at the edges of your eyes.

well for makeup, you can basically just line your inner rims with black eyeliner, then put a thick line of black eyeshadow around (not in the inner corner though, unless you want to look REALLY emo), concentrating on the outer corner (like a cat eye, but less).

put on a couple coats of black mascara and fake lashes, and either leave your lips nude or wear some nude lipgloss (mac lipglass in c-thru is my favorite).

don't be too tanned, or else it will look gross and trashy.

for a more scene than emo look, buy some super bright mac eyeshadow in basically any colors you want, as long as they're really bright, be creative, and use it instead of the black eyeshadow (but still use the eyeliner, mascara, and fake lashes).

when you do this, you don't necessarily need the nude lips, you can pretty much do any shade of pink or red, just make sure it looks nice with your skin tone.

first of all im 13! i do wear makeup now but not a lot. im really really blonde (its natural- i have never dyed my hair because im growing it out 4 locks of love=)) and it goes down to about 3 or 4 inches above my waist with side bangs.. i have big blue eyes, thin lashes, light light light skin, and rosy cheeks, but no acne or anything(knock on wood!).

so im sick of the usual straight hair black eyeliner look and want to go with something a little more natural. my hair is naturally REALLY wavy.

Try putting it up in a high ponytail and gelling your bangs down and using a Goody bristle brush to create a pretty sweep for your bangs. Another thing you can try is to straighten it and leave it out. For the make-up you sound like you are naturally pretty so I think maybe you should go with LIGHT colors that go pretty with you're eyes and skin complection.Cute hair and makeup?

anyway i had wavy hair too that i straightened but it was hard to make it look cute when it was wavy so i cut all my hair into a shorter style so i could manage it better

then i started wearing a natural tannish color eyeshadow it made my eyes pop i also started wearing dark brown eyeliner/mascara it made all the difference, i've never had acne over so i just wear bronzer on my cheeks and nose it make you glow and covers up the redness in your cheeks. it looks really naturally

since you have fair skin go for a porcelin foundation and extra blush on the cheekbones would look nice. Try a little bit of eyeliner and maybe mascara, you'd be surprised how nice it looks. My daughter is 5 years old and wants to do a pageant this would be her first one. She is so excited but after seeing some on T.V. she wants her hair and makeup done . I am good at my own but am at a loss as to what to do with hers. Which makeup, which extensions and so forth and so on. I do not know anyone whod does either so I am looking for someone to be able to either help me do it ($$$) or somewhere in our area that does this,like a certain salon or whatever. By the way we live around the Cincinnati , Northern Kentucky area. Also if you are a pageant mom or previous pageant mom and know how to do this yourself and have the supplies needed that work also. i would enter a smaller contest and try your best to do it yourself, as a mother daughter thing. ask for the cards of the makeupartists and trainers there

you want to make sure that she'll actually want to do it before you invest too much money in everything like extensions, flippers, costumes, etc.

i wouldn't get in too deep at first. i don't think that a MAC makeupartist at the mall would have the best preparation to do pagent. there are plenty of resourses out there to help you.

ok so my prom is coming up, and im having trouble deciding how i want to do my hair and makeup. different people are telling me different things. i have a round face... so i dont think that an up do will work.. because i had to get that done once, didnt look too hot. anyways, my dress is green and black. the green color is kind of like grass green/a little brighter. its really hard to explain. and it has an empire waist. when i tried my dress on, my hair was curly, and it didnt look that nice. but i dont wanna just straighten my hair where it looks like i havent done anything special to it? lol but i have green eyes and i want them to stick out.

so if anyone has any suggestions on how i could possibly make my eyes ';pop'; more and get my hair done so it doesnt look weird with my face? that would be greatly appreciated...

Adding french braids along the side of your head with straight hair looks really pretty.

To make your eyes pop use a black eyeliner then go over it with a bright green eyeliner or you can use the new mascara called ''exact eyelights'' this will bring out the color in your eyes! Also you can use a darker eyeshadow like a grayish blackish then put a light shimmery green over that so it sparkles! but only chose one of these because if you chose the dark eyeshadow and the dark eyeliner you will look some what gothic! and if you do wanna use eyeshadow and eyeliner use a light green eyeshadow and a dark eyeliner with green over that!

Now for your hair you can straighten it out and then put half of it up into a ''poof up at the top''. Also you can curl the ends of your hair and spray it with hairspray and keep all of your hair down. Finally you could get your hair wet then put gel in it and then you can let it airdry or blowdry it out!

I'm going into high school this September. I'm excited, yet anxious as most incoming 9th graders would be. But I need help with my wardrobe, hair, and makeup...

I'm slimmer on my torso because I have a small waist, but Im also kind of curvy as far as my hips (around there). What sort of outfits do you recommend? How could I mix and match with accessories without going too over the top?

My hair.... It is sooo WILD but I have natural spiral curls which is nice to have - but the frizz is veryyy annoying. My hair is very thick, and I have a lot too, so any tips on hairstyles using gel and hairspray, because NO other products work well (down, scrunch into messy bun, half up/half down*) directions for those frizz-free styles will be very helpful! Also, I have a long shaped face and I don't want it looking too oval =)

Makeup- Okay, all the makeup my parents would approve of is lip gloss and eye shadow%26lt;-- if i'm lucky! I have light brown eyes, but not TOO light.

You say you are curvy, so a few things would be cute. Try skinny Jeans. I know you'll think, ';Oh it makes my hips look huge,'; but it's fine. I have hair exactly like yours, and the best thing to do it grow it out longer. At longest leave it a few inches below your bra strap. This will oosen your curl at least a little bit. The first two products are shampoo and conditioner. These condition your curls, and hydrate them. When you're in the shower, shampoo twice, and then leave conditioner on for 2 minutes, while you brush with a big brush, then a small one, then a large comb, until you reach a small comb, then rinse, put hair in a clip, and wash your body. Once a week, wash your body first, then shampoo twice, rinse and get out of the shower. Dry off your body and lightly towel dry hair. add deep- conditioner for 20 minutes and in that time leave in a shower cap. When 20 minutes is complete, rinse and add products. Also every time you wash your hair, add the clear glaze to add shine to your curls.

Every day add the split-end cream to your hair, and the shaping milk and the anti-sponge cream. Then style as you want. If you leave your hair down, add all the products. Do not use sprays or gels on your hair, as this will make it crinkly and hard.

For makeup, get a light powder foundation, and some colored gloss. then get black and clear mascara, and black and brown liquid eyeliner. Here are a few looks you can use:

Powder foundation, a little concealer, and clear mascara, with colored gloss.

The dramatic look:

Red or dark pink gloss, foundation and concealer. For your eyes, add a teansy bit of black liquid liner on your upper lash line. Just a thin line, and let dry. If you like it, keep it. If you need more, add a little more. When everything is done and dry, add a lot of clear mascara to top and bottom lashes, and put some on your eyebrows to keep them in order. Then add black mascara on top of that.

Wedding hair and makeup for me and bridesmaids?

I want to know if this seems OK: My wedding is going to be small (85 people) on the beach at 11 am on May 23rd. I plan on having a fake hair addition (just a clip to make my hair look like a curled pony tail--I'm lazy and cheap). I am thinking of having natural but a little heavier than normal makeup (do it myself or possibly having a friend helping). For my bridesmaids, I was thinking hair down and straight (do it yourself), and makeup a little lighter than mine (do it yourself or possibly a friend helping). We will be sleeping in a hotel together the night before and get up and get ready together.

Since my hair is going to be simple, is it wrong to tell my bridesmaids not to get their hair done professionally? I just think it will be too much for the simplicity of the wedding (David's Bridal wedding party).

I'm not requiring them to get their nails done, though they can.

no heck no. i'd be thrilled if the bride told me i didn't have to get everything professionally done and could just do something relaxed, low key, natural.... sure you want to look pretty and your best that day too, but as i'm not the bride, i'd really rather not be spending a fortune getting that stuff done... i think you should just explain it to them like you just did... that's its a relaxed outdoor wedding and you don't think they should get their hair done, tell them to just leave it down and lightly style it themselves... any questions to let you know first. tell them the same for the makeup. if someone is really uncomfortable with makeup and hair doing, if one of your other girls can help them do theirs that'd be perfect.Wedding hair and makeup for me and bridesmaids?
What I would do is have them have any hairstyles approved before doing it. You want to see a picture of what they're thinking of. Some women, even for hair that's just straightened, are going to want to get it done professionally--and that's fine, as long as it fits within the parameters of what you, the bride, want.

Also, I would avoid having the bridesmaids makeup lighter--they'll be in photographs as well, and photography really washes out most people. You're going to want them in a little heavier than normal makeup, or they'll look washed out in your color pics. B%26amp;W won't be a problem, but color will. Think about that.

Another thought I just had--don't have the bridesmaids each have the same hairdo. Let each wear their hair casually, but in a style that's becoming to her. You don't want them looking like a row of Barbie dolls on the beach, with matching hair and makeup.

just get them all together and talk about the feel you want for the wedding and then go into how you want them to look. just present it as an au natural thing and instead of saying- i don't want you getting your hair professionally done say something like- and unless anyone has some serious objections i'd prefer that everyone wear their hair down and straight and make-up light to keep with this over all feel. it may seem a little silly but because things are so simple i want the differences between us to be subtle.

and i don't see how someone could get themselves professionally done if you are all getting ready together- but you need to be upfront about this from the beginning so they don't get a ton of their own ideas or make their own plans. i am sure they will be happy to help you out however they can and do their best to keep you happy by fulfilling your vision. and if stuff doesn't go exactly how you planed.... the most important thing is your marriage not how these chicas look and it's probably not grounds for the end of a friendship if they're deviants... but it all depends

No idea, but odds are someone will have some gripe about something, whether it's this or something else. I would say that it is overall a good idea that you are not some kind of a control freak as to the hair and nails just being so-and-so. Of course, you do sort of run the risks of bridesmaids showing up with punk-style hairdos in outlandish colors or makeup or nails in a gothic style that some might find a bit garish or even shocking. A safe alternative would be for you and/or your fiancee or the hosts or those paying for the wedding to spring for a wedding makeup artist and hair stylist for you and the bridesmaids at an affordable group rate or with a group discount, regardless of whether you yourself use the individual for anything. Just a thought of course. CONGRATS.
ok they shouldn't have a problem with this if they are there for YOU and that is the way it should be. No one should outshine the bride. it is a beach theme just tell them to look nice but natural.. I think you should invest in some real hair instead of fake hair. (meaning that you can buy human hair) cause you do have to see the photos for the rest of your life and sooner than you think you will look at your hair and say oohh man I should have gotten real hair. tell the girls if they want to get something done get a mani pedi and go barefoot on the beach:)

I think it's very controlling for a bride to insist on certain hair and makeup for the bridesmaids. It may be ';your day'; but don't you want your bridesmaids to feel at their best too? Let them decide what they want to do with hair and makeup. And if they do show up with professional hair and makeup, what then? Are you going to let that mess with your day?
If you don't want them to do it professionally, you might want to have some picture examples of what type of hair styles you would like them to have. You could also have a friend or someone available to help with hair. I know if I were a bridesmaid, I would be a little nervous to have to fix my own hair. I had to do it for my brother wedding... and let's just say I was terrible!

I like the pony tail idea. They can be really cute with some added curls from a curling iron.

As far as nails, you should at least ask them to paint them... they don't need to be a professional manicure.

You could try wearing skinny jeans, tucked into some boots like UGGs, with a floaty long-ish top that comes down just abit further than your hips then put a belt either around your waist or higher up. Whichever you prefer. You could wear your hair up in a messy bun, pull your hair back into a ponytail and twist it lossely around the tie securing with bobby pins. You could wear it either with curly or straight hair, but use hairspray to keep it in place. Makeup could be really simple, like foundation+blusher over the fattest parts of your cheeks, then a thin line of black eyeliner underneath the eye+on eyelid to make them look wide and bold. Then a grey or pale colour eyeshadow and smudge it abit to get a smokey eye look. Clear lipgloss or a pale coloured lipstick would go great aswell :)
What i wore to my school dance was a pair of jeans and a cute shirt but not a dress up shirt. I had a jacket over it and a pair of flatts on with my hair straight and parted to the side. How you should do you make up depends on what you wear but if you do not want to dress up then definatley don't over do the make-up. You should do like a half up do, or like pick it all up in a pony and have it to the side, I think having your hair down would be ideal, but whatever you want will look fine.

It's a very elegant dress, so you need to find something that fits it.

As for the make-up I think you should go for a very natural look, if you're going to go somewhere to do your make-up they usually tell you what color would look nice with your dress and what would bring out your features.

But don't do anything crazy liek smoky eyes, it needs to be very natural just like earth tones, or like whites and silvers.

Your dress is lovely! I think it needs something very classy done to your hair. If it is curly maybe pin it to the side and have it curling down one side of your neck. Purples or plums are the best choice this colour makes green eyes POP!

Your makeup sounds fine to me! I would say for lips try berry tints and never go with a pastel colour --- taking your olive skin tone into consideration, but you are 15 and i dont think at that age girls where that bright of a lip colour :P

you should use anything you want at this point! try a mineral foundation closest to your skin color [like bare naturale]. then brush some blush along your cheeks, its very pretty anytime of year. then try some dark brown maskara on your top lashes only...theres really no need for eye liner, but if you want go with a med brown. hope this helps =]

ok, so, homecoming at my school is coming up soon and i already got a dress. I have a pic of it included below...the thing is, i have no idea what to do as a hairstyle or makeup. For my hair, I might either curl it or do a kinda fancy updo.but i need some ideas and tips.also, for the makeup, im pretty much open to all ideas. thx u guys soo much!

The first thing I thought of when I saw your dress was 'GORGEOUS!!', so kudos on picking a nice, classy, beautiful, non-slutty dress.

The second thing I thought of was 'LILAC'!

Anyways, makeup:

Put some lilac coloured eye shadow on your lids, and a thin line of black liquid liner. Put it on your top lid, because that is less hoochy.

Put some pale pink/peach blush on. To accentuate your cheekbones, make a weird oval-ish circle with your mouth, and you will see your cheek lines. Fill them in, and blend!

Lip gloss/stick: I would say go with a strong pink!

Hair:

A nice updo would be gorge!

It's hard to know what would be best for you because we don't know your hair or skin color or facial structure or anything along those lines. Personally, I think your hair would be cute if you left it down and curled it loosely. Makeup.. Idk because I don't know what you look like. Just some pinkish or redish eye shadow, black eyeliner and mascara, smidge of blush and some lip gloss would be good, just to keep it simple but sexy.

As for makeup, use a simple faint pink gloss. Or a blush pink lipstick, but make sure to add gloss over the top. Going to dark with lipstick will make you look like your dress. for your hair try using a deep conditioner every time u shower for a bout 2 weeks.

If you have blue eyes then you should use a darker shade of eye shadow than your eye color.

In order to get that smoky effect you should mix the darker eye shadow with a touch of black.

A TONNN of brownish-black mascara for the eyes - when I use colors besides gold brown.... earthy tones and stuff I look funny. so I basically just use mascara to bring out my eyes and a little black eyeliner, but it put it on ';weird'; lol I read somewhere and noticed it looks a lot more natural and better when you put the eyeliner on the inner upper lid, like ont he top but instead of on top of your lashes put it under your top lashes. email me if you still dont understand :D lol its complicated. and Then I use a clear lip gloss or slightly colored, anything works, I just go simple.

for the hair,

blow dry it when its still damp but almost dry upside down .. or you could lift your hair up when you blow dry it thats what i do, also SUNSILK anti flat works amazingly
firstly you should buy a good shampoo that will strip the product from your hair but be carefull what you buy,aveda or mop is good a little bit more money but will last you ages

also bare escentuals make up is fantastic and you can never put to much on will go fab with your blue eyes.

yes, and once you've graduated from beauty school and established a clientele from where ever you'll be working, then would be a good time to look into owning your own hair salon. Because once you have the trust of a client, they usually follow where ever you go cause it's always hard to find a good hair stylist.
I think you should take some business classes, and yes attend beauty school so you can get a license. And maybe you can meet someone in school that can open the business with you or atleast help.

If you really like doing hair and nails you should go. But I'll tell you upfront if you want your own salon, you HAVE to work all day. Long hours go hand in hand with owning a salon. If you don't want to work all day, you should consider working for someone else, like Regis or something. In your own salon you have to keep your customers happy and cater to their needs which means clients coming in late or really early because of their work schedules and stuff, if you don't they will go to someone else who will. Good luck to you! Just give all of this some thought and do a little research of your own before you sign up for cosmetology.
Sure, but don't forget to take some business courses at community college too to learn about running a business. If you want to own your own business, you WILL have to do it all day long till you get off the ground and make enough money to hire otheres. But that's part of owning your own business.

It really depends on what you鈥檙e looking for. Are you asking what foundation color, blush color, or eye shadows? I can鈥檛 give you a foundation color because I don鈥檛 know what your skin looks like; every one has different tones. If you have tan skin, a light pink blush with a subtle bronzer over it looks great. And for eyes, it depends on if your going out for a night on the town, or if you just want to have a simple look. For a night out, A nice metallic silver base with a metallic gray on the lid and a black liner along the lash line and a black shadow in the crease of your eye looks stunning. For a simple look, go with a natural bronze shadow on the lid and maybe a shimmery delicate green in the crease and outer corner of the eye and some black mascara to open the eye. Hope I could help. i would suggest using mac make up,

even though it is more expensive than loreal or cover girl,

just because their products are fantastic, and you pay for what you want.

also invest in some make up brushes.

at your age,

i would just stick towards eye shadows, and

top eyelid liquid eyeliner, because of your age.

If you already have naturally wavy hair, just put in some scrunching gel (Herbal Essences Totally Twisted or Sally Hershbergers Wavy Hair Primer, which can be found only at Walgreens and comes in a kind of teal colored bottle, but it gives your hair volume, wave, and no frizz; or at least very minimal frizz, lol). If your hair is naturally straight then you have to use a curling iron, and I'm not much help with that, sorry! As for makeup, you could try different colored eye liners in shades like blue, purple, green, or teal, and you could experiment with liquid liner (MAC and Prestige has a really good selection of colors; to apply liquid liner just pull the corner of your upper eye lid tight and apply slowly as close to the lash line as possible; once you get better you probably won't have to do this and you can experiment with how the line looks to ';change'; the shape of your eye). Also, purple eyeshadow is fun and looks good with any skin tone, eye color, and hair color, and is a perfect color for spring. You could always try different shades or textures of eyeshadow (matte, shimmer, sparkle, pearl, etc....) to make small changes to your makeup. You could also try a really dramatic mascara, which will really open up and bring attention to the eyes (MAC Plush Lash is really good!). Since its spring, I would stick with a light pink or peach blush, and a light pink, peach, or cherry lipgloss. You can go with cool colors like shades of pink for lipstick, blush, pastel shades for eye shadows and a very light neutral foundation. if you are young %26amp; have good skin you shouldn't need foundation, just some mineral loose powder to set your makeup. Wear brown/black mascara.

I have the same color hair, eye's, and skin. For mascara I use brownish/black, eye's you can use, browns, purple family, blue family, and eyeliner, brown, or plum family. I use all MAC make up. You can get a trial, and they really pick nice colors for you.
i have blond hair and blue eyes i use a a little black eyeliner but not to much you dont want to look emo then black mascara with tan eyeshadow and a clear lipgloss i cant help you with foundation that is up to you and your skin color
hi, i'm like you. i do white or pale blue/ pink eye shadow, no liner, blush that matches my natural blush to even it out, and lip gloss that is slightly darker or lighter than my lip color
Brown eyeliner, black mascara, blue/ lilac eyeshadow, MAC mineral satinfinish foundation in shade NC 15

I am 14 years old. I'm not very wearing any makeup except foundation in these pictures. I'm thinking of getting a hair cut, my hair is about 3 inches past my shoulders. Any ideas about a new cut? I would be keeping the color the same, a dark blonde-ish color. I'm a very sporty person so pony-tail length would be necessary.

Also, I wear pretty much no makeup. I'd like to keep it simple, but still look good. Any tips?

umm. stick with the foundation and maybe add a little bronzer.

for hair id say cut it about an inch and a half with short layers.

straighten it realllllyy straight
put on some light eyeliner and mascara.

also get alot of layers in your hair.

Try something that you like. I am a sporty girl as well but my hair is shorter then yours.I have my hair layered and having short hair means that you don't need to tie it up every morning or before you go training. Maybe if you just want a new hairstyle, look around on those makeover sites and see if you like any of those hair styles. Otherwise you could wave your hair or layer it or even have it like mine, short. Well I hope this helps and I will give you 2 websites you can check to see if you like anything on them.
