Hair and Makeup - a few questions?

My hair is always dry no matter what i seem to do it - i condition it daily and use hair masks or hot oil on it occasionally. I straighten it maybe once a fortnight and this is the only time its manageable. The rest of the time it's just knotty. I've tried lots of different shampoos and conditioners but i need one for coloured highlighter hair (i have never used blonde so its not too much bleach).I have just had 2 inches cut off but the ends still knot. Any suggestions?

Next one is what's the best affordable mascara? preferably one i get can get in boots so i can use the points on my card. I try loads and they are good to start with but they don't seem so good at the end i guess because they get clumpy in the bottle. I prefer big brushes not the little plastic ones.

Do you know any good liquid foundations for pale skin again preferable one from boots ? at the moment i mix a no7 cream one with moisturises which is a good colour but its a lot of hassle so can't be bothered most days and just use the foundation.

ThanksHair and Makeup - a few questions?
Your hair is always dry ?

don't condition it daily ...

condition / wash it every other day so you can let it produce it's own oils

If youu have a look in places like boots / Tesco ( in the beauty range ) youu can find many different shampoos for coloured hair :)

Just leave your hair .. brush it once in the morning and leave your natural hair =D

Colossal sounds perfect for youu.

This is probably my ultimate mascara ... it doesn't seem to go clumpy at the end for me and the brush is BIG lol

and yes you can get this in boots :)

It is around 拢6 thoughh ... iif ii remember rightly it was 拢6.95

or it might of been 拢5.95

ahh ii cant remember lol

umm Just get a natural collections foundation

boots make natural collections

so obviously youu can get this from boots lol

Its affordable and not waaay expensive lol

anyway ii hope ii helped %26amp;%26amp; good luck with all the tips and comments people have left and ii hope some of them work :)Hair and Makeup - a few questions?
I have the same problem as you, my hair is always so dry and it never grows past my shoulders. I believe you're using too many products! Try purchasing two products; shampoo %26amp; conditioner both focusing on your brittle hair. I would recommend Elvive-Re-Nutrition range.

As for the mascara, Maybelline's NEW Lash Stiletto Mascara is amazing. I apply two coats and my eyelashes touch my eyebrows!!!
hair:

after you come out of the shower, towel dry your hair.

and get some good leave in coniditioners and put alot in,

get like 3 different kinds and leave it in. also you might wanna

get better shampoo like brand names, not just super market ones,

they probably sell them at your local spa salon(:
umm .. try to go for maybe a natural look

try to let go of the straighting and different shampoos

and for the skin .. again go for a natural look

answer mine PLEASEE

Mascara; I know it sounds really trampy but the 拢1 or 拢2 mascara in the cheap sections at Boots and Superdrug work really well xD

They're the ones I use and they fill out my lashes perfectly well (; x
the hair thing... give your hair a rest with all the products! prob dry from not being able to formulate its own natural oils! mascara... loreal... gold one end n white the other... really gd
about the conditioning everyday, id do it every other day.

because washing your hair everyday in general, will make it damaged.

and since this might make your hair greasy,

when you use the conditioner don't apply it to your roots,

or hair close to the roots, just hair from the ears, down.

im not sure what a fortnight is, but,

make sure your using some form of heat protection when you use all that heat on your hair, and if your outside alot, try to wear a hat sometimes.

the heat could take away the moisture, and dry your hair out.

i would get a moisturizing shampoo, and then a shampoo for your color treated hair.

when you wash your hair, put the first shampoo in your hair, around the root area, and from the roots to the ears, and do NOT place all your hair on top of your head, also do NOT worry about the tips getting cleaned, when you rinse out the shampoo it was clean and rinse the tips as you wash it out.

then, use the second shampoo, wash it out,

and rinse with cold water. this closes the cuticles, leaving moisture.

for knots, before you get in the shower, brush your hair, and then brush it with a wide toothed comb when you get out.

if you have bad knots, get detangler spray, so you aren't damaging your hair when you rip through knots.

i always get mascara and most of my makeup from covergirl.

i think lashblast works wonder, and it is very affordable, one of the cheaper kinds, pretty much anything from covergirl, is cheaper.

and lashblast, has a BIG brush! haha.

oh. and again idunno what boots is, haha, but for liquid foundations, try covergirl.

when your looking for the right color for your skin, turn your arm over,

so your palm is facing up.

hold the bottle of foundation to your arm, and see if it matches, get the color closest to your arm color.

hope i helped.
for you hair. see if mayonase works i know it sounds gross but it leaves hair super pretty. leave it on about two hours

for you mascara problem i really like the almay one that they have for certain eye colors. its cheap too.

and for foundation idk what boots is but if you need a guide to your skin color on sephora.com go to the brand make up forever and they have this thing on their part of the site that helps you pick your skin color (then after you can pick a similar color from boots)
my hair used to be the same way a couple years ago and it would get really knotty in the back all the time. I eventually just started growing it out and the length helped weigh it down and control it more.

for products I know Garnier Fructis has a deep conditioner specifically for color treated hair. I've use it about twice a week and it makes my hair feel really really healthy. I also noticed my hair started to feel a lot healthier after I started using chi silk infusion

good luck! :)
Dove intense care therapy conditioner is good for dry and/or damadged hair. They also make shampoos and conditioners for dyed hair which protects the colour, but if you just want to get rid of the damage your hair has from being dyed the intense care therapys shampoo and conditioner is good for that + it makes your hair REALLY soft.

The best affordable mascara i have tried is rimmel extra super lash (the one without the curved brush). It is amazing and makes your eyelashes look really long and seperated. You can buy this at Boots.
