Hair and makeup ideas for prom?

Well this year I'm letting my older sister do my hair and makeup, but she wants me to give her a few ideas of what I want her to do. But, I don't know what I want her to do. I have short hair and I don't think there's too much you can do with it. What colors of makeup should I wear if this is my dress (except mine is more of a firetruck red :P):

your dress is soo gorgeous! you dont need to do much because the dress does all the talking!!!! keep your makeup elegant and classy, not too much... light on the eyes, like a shimmery pink and silver and light and glossy on the lips. your hair will look good if you either put it all up in a soft bun or clip up half your hair and do soft bouncy curls at the back!

I'd curl your hair. Loose curls though, no poodle hair. =P





If I were you I'd use smoky eyeshadow and eyeliners for my eyes and play my lips down by using a natural tone for my lips.





Whatever you do, don't wear red lipstick to match your dress, it'll scream ';look at me';... but not in a good way.





Also don't go overboard with the smokiness, because it'll look like you've got two black eyes. Not a good look... =P
You could maybe blow dry your hair and wear it down but flick it out at the bottom. As for your make up you should stick to natural color's rather than go for bright in your face color's I would suggest soft Browns or Light Smokey Grey's. Hope everything goes well.
In terms of make-up I would suggest you focus on either your eyes or your lips. both can look too much. For example, a strong lip colour or highlight your eye with a subtle coloured eyeliner and mascara. Or keep it classic with with pale colours.You could curl your hair? ur pretty so I wouldnt worry!

try curling ur hair and use hairspray and mousse it keep it that way the hole night...also use bobbi brown or mac make-up as it is the best!
